Our Team

Raphaël Ascoli

Raphaël is the founder of Blue Temple, a disruptive architectural practice based in Yangon and co-founder of Housing NOW.

He studied Architecture at McGill University, specializing in computational design. Raphaël is dedicated to bringing creative and critical thinking into Myanmar’s architecture industry.

He has initiated a number of projects in public space, mapping, academics and free parametric design workshops in Myanmar.

Kyaw Zin Latt

Kyaw Zin Latt is a Burmese master bamboo technician and co-founder of Housing NOW. He runs Monkey Joint, a bamboo construction team based in Yangon.

Learning the craft from an early age, Ko Zin has worked with several NGO’s and private clients, among them Habitat for Humanity Myanmar with whom he has built over 100 bamboo houses.

He has broad experience working with architectural programs from ephemeral installations to large-scale public space in Myanmar and abroad.


António F. Duarte

António is a visual artist and architect, partner of Blue Temple and co-founder of Housing NOW.

His practice lives in the boundaries between the two disciplines and the tension between high-tech and tradition. He is a researcher on culture and technology with wide experience in architectural and artistic projects.

Since 2024, he is an Arts and Media Meisterschüler at the Berlin University of the Arts with a focus on Generative and Computational Art. 

His work has been exhibited and awarded internationally.


Hanna Flachs

Hanna is a German visual artist with a background in social sciences.

She is the designer, illustrator and content creator of Housing NOW’s social media and website.

Holding a Bachelor in Business & Culture from Passau University and an M.Sc. in Development Studies from ISCTE, Hanna has helped to develop the community inclusion strategies which shape our field operation methodology.
